They’re what we’re up against.
Not literally, alas, but figuratively, existentially.
Big, barely contained boobs on every goddamn comic book on Kickstarter.

Even with our clothes on, we’ve had an incredible first 8 hours since launching the final books of By the Time I Get to Dallas, and we’re flying up the “Trending” page. We’re over 60% funding and 70 backers—both are fantastic results! I’m so grateful that I’ve still got the support of so many of you, even after a three-year hiatus from Kickstarter.
To everyone who has backed: Thank you!
But we can’t rest now. The first day of momentum is crucial to getting the Kickstarter machine working for us. And to get on top we’ve got to climb over some serious cleavage!
My comic is proudly SFW, except for medically-informed blood and gratuitous sarcasm, and I know I can’t compete with the NSFW crowd when it comes to titilation. But rising to the peak of the “Trending” scroll means we’ve got to slip and slide over Private Dance, Money Shot, the Naked Truth and Midnight Bunnies, to name a few.
I need to go take a shower after writing that sentence.
Look out our modest, reasonably clad heroes—Rudy, Anna, Goose and Rex—desperately trying to rise above the scrum with a thoughtful yet exciting comics story. They want you to love them for their minds, their heart, their grit, that’s all!

But don’t count out our demure heroes just yet! Lo! Even as I write, we are up to 7th in Trending comics, leaving a few sets of competitors sagging in our wake.
Help us fight the good fight by backing today!
